Obit in Anthon Herald, 30 October 1974, page 1: Mrs. John (Grace) Fitzpatrick, 88, died Saturday, October 26, at her home in Anthon. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anthon with the Rev. J.G. Skahill officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of the Walter Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Daniel Fitzpatrick, Jr., Donald Flynn, Mark Flynn, Leo Cole, Walter Craig, and Tom Craig. Mrs. Fitzpatrick, daughter of Thomas and Carrie Clark Dicus, was born October 30, 1888, at Anthon and was a lifelong resident of the community. She was married March 2, 1911, in Sioux City. Mr. Fitzpatrick died in 1947. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. William (Helen) Schulz of Gardena, California; Mrs. Ed (Marguerite) Flynn and Mrs. Verle (Lucille) Wetmore, both of Westminster, California; and Mrs. Sam (Frances) Wildblood of Stockton, California; three sons, Daniel of Sioux City, Wayne of Westminster and James of Orange, California; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Eva) Waugh of Anthon, Mrs. Arthur (Verna) Coon and Mrs. Phil (Madge) Morrison, both of Sioux City, Mrs. Effie Peterson in California and Mrs. Jack (Esther) Spratt of Green; two brothers, Howard of Cedar Rapids and Cleland of Sioux City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, three sisters and three grandchildren.
