Mrs. Edward Lanegan, 76, 3931 W. Fourth St., died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. The former Mabel Irene Dicus, Mrs. Lanegan was born was born April 14, 1896, at Anthon. She was married there in 1912. The couple moved to Sioux City 41 years ago. He died here July 24, 1963. She was a member of the Trimble United Methodist Church. Survivors include a son, Ira Michael of Portland, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Exie Bell and Mrs. Dora McDermott, both of Sioux City; two brothers, Howard Dicus of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Cleland Dicus of Sioux City; six sisters, Mrs. Grace Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Eva Waugh, both of Anthon, Mrs. Verna Coon and Mrs. Madge Morrison, both of Sioux City, Mrs. Esther Spratt of Green, Iowa and Mrs. Effie Peterson of Storm Lake, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edward Lanegan, 76, 3931 W. Fourth St., will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Trimble United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jack Hooten will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of the Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Charles, Steven and Dan Schlumbaum, David Jinson, Roger Lanegan and Willard Albers Jr. Mrs. Lanegan died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.
