ELECTRA - Carrie Alice Broderson, 100 years young, went home to be with her Lord, Oct. 1, 2007 in San Manuel, Arizona.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007 at Aulds Funeral Home located at 420 North Waggoner with Rev. Charles Bartlett of Anchor Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, officiating. Interment will follow in the Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

The family will receive friends at 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.

Carrie was born Nov. 17, 1906 in Lindsay, Okla., to Henry and Thursa Moore Armstrong.

She and "Ace" Broderson were married June 27, 1924 in Healton, Okla.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, "Ace" in March 1972 and by two grandsons, James David Lewis and Randy Penn.

Carrie and "Ace" had six children: Emmett Eugene Broderson and wife, Sue of Dimmitt, Texas, Fern Caraway of San Manuel, Arizona, Helen Penn of Odessa, Texas, Mary Lou Hudson and husband, Val, of San Manuel, Arizona, Glenda Hooker and husband, Chuck of Wichita Falls, Texas, Jackie Lewis Youngborg of Taft, California; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a nephew, W.A. Broderson of Yukon, Oklahoma and a host of friends from Texas and Arizona.

Carrie spent most of her life in Electra, Texas but moved to Wichita Falls after "Ace" died. In 1994, she moved to San Manuel, Arizona to be close to her two daughters that had retired.

Carrie was an avid Cowboy football fan, enjoyed hand-work, travel, shopping, and most of all her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her. Carrie was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Electra.

Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Terry Penn, Steve Caraway, Ronnie Caraway, Mark Kimes, Kyle Broderson, and Larry Hudson.

A special "Thank You" to Odyssey Hospice in Tucson, Ariz.
