Naomia Allen Melich was called home November 12, 2003.

She left us peacefully from her home in Salt Lake City.

Born April 26, 1920 in Huntington, Utah to Edgar and Mary E. Green Allen, the fourth of nine children.

Married Reed Brady, divorced.

She was married to the love of her life, Nick Melich, from January 30, 1942 until he gave up the ghost in 1998.

Naomia worked at ZCMI for 34 years, where she started as a clerk and rose to assistant head of the Credit Department.

After retiring, she worked at Mervyn's for several years.

Preceded by her parents; husband, Nick; two brothers, Dick Allen, Jack Allen; and one sister, Rose Cunningham.

Survived by her four children, Shirley (Bill) Carter and Hugh Brady, both of Salt Lake City, Judy Emley, St. George, Michael Nick Melich, Salt Lake City; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great great-grandchildren; five of her sisters, Isabell Tennant, Fawn (Dick) Unger, Wyonna Stoaks, Leah (Don) Lane, Reah (Chuck) Collard; numerous nieces and nephews.

Naomia was an example of unwavering Christian faith and courage.

She was a kind and caring woman who loved her family deeply.

She put others first and brought out the best in others.

Mother, sister and grandmother - we will miss you more than words could say.

Thank you for the wonderful things you gave us.

Sleep in Jesus.

Funeral will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2003, 2 p.m. at the Lake Hills Memorial Mortuary, 10055 S. State, Sandy.

Friends and family may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to services Wednesday.

Interment, Lake Hills Cemetery.
