Our loving wife, mom, grandma, and sister, Faun Tella Allen (Ihler) Unger, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2009 from complications caused by pancreatic cancer.

Faun was born in Mohrland, Utah on February 5, 1925 to Mary Elizabeth (Green) and Edgar Allen.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she was raised in Huntington, Utah where, she met and married Richard Ihler in 1944. They had five children and were sealed as a family in the Manti Temple. They were later divorced. In 1985, she married Richard Thomas Unger in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.

Mom's favorite thing to do was to spend time with her family. She also loved to golf and travel while sharing her life with Dick for the past 24 years.

Faun was preceded in death by her son, Brent; parents; sisters, Naomia, Rose, and Isabel; and brothers, Dick and Jack. She is survived by her husband, Richard Unger; children Greg (Janene) Ihler, Debbie Rasmussen, Deneece (Dennis) Park, Alan (Dottie) Ihler, Tom (Phyllis) Unger, Ron (Connie) Unger and Jon Unger; three sisters, Wyonna, Leah, and Reah; also by 32 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 12:00 p.m. in the Kearns Sixth Ward Chapel, 4260 West Sams Boulevard (5215 South). A viewing will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the Church and one hour prior to the services at the Church.
Interment will be held in the Orangeville Cemetery in Orangeville, Utah on Thursday, September 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.
