Ralph E. Arnold, 60, 962 College Ave., Elmira, died Tuesday, Feb 11, 1975, following an extended illness. Mr. Arnold was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church. He was a self-employed painting contracter and formerly an employee of Spaulding Bakeries. He was also a member of Ivy Lodge F & AM No. 397 and a 32nd Degree member of the Corning Consistory. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna M. Arnold; one son, Terry E. of Escondido, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Ann M. Arnold of Corning and Mrs. Alyce L. Wood of Beatrice, Neb.; one brother, Claude B. of Rome; two sisters, Mrs. Marie Arnold of Athens and Mrs. Hazel Silverstrim of Waverly; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral and committal services will be held at the Barrett Funeral Home, Elmira, Thursday at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Royal E. Filkins, pastor of the Westside United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, at the convenience of the family.
