Lee Elmer Arnold, 80, died at his home, 138 1-2 N. Elmira Street, Athens, last night at 11 o'clock. He had been in poor health for several years. A native of Rome township, he spent most of his life there as a farmer, moving to Waverly about 11 years ago. He worked for Cloverdale Farms and came to Athens about three years ago. He was a member of the Waverly Baptist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Howard I. Arnold of Athens and Mrs. John A. Silverstrim of Elmira; two sons, Ralph E. Arnold of Elmira and C. Bernard Arnold of Rome; two sisters, Mrs. Harriet Lane of Toronto and Mrs. Alice Raub of Athens; one brother, C. Bernard Arnold of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The body is at the Lowery Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held there Saturday at 2. Rev. Robert Grover will officiate and internment will be in the Bumpville cemetery.
