Mrs. Markham rites Thursday at Osage church
Osage: Funeral rites will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church for Mrs. Ray Markham, 80. She died Tuesday afternoon at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Norman Brooks will officiate, with burial in the Osage Cemetery. The Champion Funeral Home is in charge.
Born as Maude Hadfield to Aaron and Eliza, March 23, 1880, in Burr Oak Township, east of Osage, she was a rural teacher before her marriage in 1902. Her husband preceded her in death last month.
Survivors include a daughter, Allene, a son, Luvern, and a grandson, all of Osage, and a brother, C. S. Hadfield, Long Beach, Caliv.
