Pneumonia took the life of A.H. Bradshaw, 74, pioneer merchant of Proffitt, Young County, Texas. He moved to the Proffitt community 25 years ago and operated a dry goods and mercantile store in the eastern edge of the community. He was retired. Mr. Bradshaw left North Carolina and headed to Texas in 1889.
Services were held at the Proffitt Baptist Church with Rev. Willie Lawrence, pastor, officiating.
Survived by his wife; six sons - C.V. Bradshaw; Burt Bradshaw; C. C. Bradshaw, F.B. Bradshaw; Ray Bradshaw, and Dick Bradshaw; four daughters, Mrs. Buel Ford, Mrs. Mary Singleton. Mrs. John Pender, and Mrs. Ayres Kinsy, one brother and three sisters.
