On March 5th, 1889 she was united in marriage to O.C. Reusse. Together the young couple took up their life on the farm a half mile north of the Reusse tree claim. The following year, 1890, they moved to Fulda, occupying the Andrew Johnson home; later Mr. Reusse, who had been in the carpenter business for several years, started a furniture store and the family lived over the store for several years. The next home was the present one in the west part of town, where Mrs. Reusse found ample room and facilities for satisfying her desire for flowers, schrubbery and all things beautiful.
O.C. & Marie were blessed with eight children; Carl, Dorothy Curly, Helen Bilben, Edward, Paul, Richard, Marie, & Otto. Otto preceded his mother in death.
Funeral services were held from St. Gabriel's Catholic Church.
