In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Reeves, David and Max Rogers.
Betty was employed as a teacher with Haywood County School System and retired with 30-years-service.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathey S. Hornbuckle and her husband, Jim, of St. Simons Island, Georgia; two grandchildren, Shelly H. Pine (Kevin) of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Dr. James H. Hornbuckle, III (Ashley) of St. Simons Island, Georgia; three great grandchildren, Tyler Harrison Pine of Lawrenceville, Georgia; Merritt Elizabeth and James Harrison Hornbuckle IV, of St. Simons Island, Georgia; sisters Frances Williams, Mary Deane Davis, Jean Walker (Jack) and sister-in-law Pat Rogers, all of Waynesville.
