Ernest "E.P." Chester, 71, Borger, died Tuesday, May 7, 1991 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

A native of Wade, Okla., he had been a Borger resident since 1948. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company as a mechanic from 1948 until he retired in 1970.

He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, and a World War Ii U.S. Air Force veteran.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma of the home; two sons, Rickey Chester and Boyd Chester, both of Borger; one step-daughter, Jane Dovidar of Amarillo; one sister Zora Jones of Dallas; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services for E.P. Chester, 71, Borger, were at 11 a.m. Friday at Gateway Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Henderson, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.

Mr. Chester died Tuesday, May 7, 1991 in High Plains Baptist Hospital in Amarillo.

A native of Wade, Okla., he had been a Borger resident since 1948. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company as a mechanic from 1948 until he retired in 1970. He also owned Fashionette Beauty Shop.

He was a member of Gateway Baptist Church, and a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran.
