Evelyn was baptized in the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Lynchburg, Virginia on Trinity Sunday of the year 1826. She was married in the same church as well. Evelyn was buried in New Orleans, in the old Girod cemetery near the city. However, the Penn graves were removed to Pass Christian MS; but, unfortunately, Hurrican Camille did great damage to the cemeter there.
