Maria Cabell Bradfute 1824–

His funeral was performed
in the St. Paul's Episcopal
Church on 18 Sep 1831.
He should be buried in
Lynchburg, Va, but since
Diuguid does not have a
record he is probably buried
at his father's farm since
we don't have a location for
his parent's graves also.

Margaret Cabell, in "Sketches and Recollections of Lynchburg", described Davidson Bradfute as being upright, kind, and industrious; so much so that he commanded a high station of affection and respect in his circle of family and friends. His early death was a great calamity to his family. For many years he and his family resided in the house later occupied by Alexander Tompkins; and, their hospitality was known to all.
