WEDNESDAY - FEBRUARY 25, 1998 VIDOR - The funeral for Gary Lane Block, 56, of Vidor will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Chapel in Vidor with burial to follow in Restlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation began at noon today at the funeral home. He died Tuesday at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. He lived all his life in Vidor and was a retired self-employed carpenter and a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Linda A. Block of Vidor; one son, Gary Block II of Las Vegas, Nev.; two daughters, Rebecca Thompson of Beaumont and Alva Block of Vidor; four brothers, Milton Block, Melvin Block and Rodney, all of Vidor, and Ronald Block of Beaumont; one sister, Dorothy Petrucci of Vidor; and five grandchildren.
