Thomas Nelson (Tom) Boyers, native and former resident of Harrisonburg for a number of years, died Sunday night in Dayton, Ohio.

Mr. Boyers, who was born in Harrisonburg, the son of Mrs. Laura Glovier Boyers and the late John R. Boyers was formerly employed by the Higgs Funeral Home and in later years by Nelson Huffman Service Station on North Main Street. He had not been well for the past three years.

Since residing Dayton Ohio, he had been employed as a painter.

He is survived by his wife, the former Faye Diehl, his mother, Mrs. Laura Glovier Boyers; a sister, Mrs. Wilbur iThelma) Havlin: and a brother, James Boyers, all of Dayton. Ohio. Five aunts and four uncles also survive.

The body will be return to Harrisonburg on Wednesday and will rest at the Lindsey Funeral Home on S. Main St. Burial will be in the family lot in Woodbine Cemetery.

Members of Mr. Boyers' family will also arrive here Wednesday.

Final funeral arrangements had not been completed last night but will be announced later.
