Wanda S. Turner Faler, 60, of Sedan, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2006, at the Sedan City Hospital.
She was born Nov. 16, 1945, in Kingston, Okla., to Milton and Velma Peters Turner.
She grew up in the Kingston area where she received her education, graduating from Kingston High School. She moved to the Sedan area in 1972.
She married Jon Faler on April 22, 1975, in Miami, Okla.
She worked for the Sedan schools for 26 years as a bus driver. She loved attending church in Sedan. She also enjoyed sewing, taking vacations, Indian Rendezvous, and especially children.
She is survived by her husband, Jon Faler of the home in Sedan; one daughter, Debra Stanton of Sedan; one son, Tony Faler of Sarcoxie, Mo.; two sisters, Joyce Beasley of Kingston, Okla., and Kay Clark of Sedan; and two grandchildren, Terry and Brandon Stanton of Sedan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services were held Monday, Aug. 14, 2006, at 10 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Sedan with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Sedan.
Friends called on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2006, from 12 p.m. until 9p.m., at the David W. Barnes Funeral Home in Sedan.
David W. Barnes Funeral Home of Sedan was in charge of arrangements.
