OBITUARY
Abe Amrine, a resident of Garfield for 30 years, was born on May 14, 1893 at Yates Center, KS, and passed away Jan 17, 1964 at St Joseph Hospital, Larned.
He was united in marriage to Amber Stewart on June 17, 1920 at Kinsley. Before retirement he was a school custodian and bus driver in Garfield.
He was a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion. Serving his country in France during World War I in Wagon Company 302.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Amber of the home; a son, Abram Jr, Neodesha; four daughters, Mrs Cecil Pulliam, New Castle, WY, Mrs Leonard Seba, Garfield, Mrs L B Hess Jr, Larned, and Mrs Victor Ingrum, Warrensburg, MO; one sister Mrs E P Nicolet of Great Bend and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday Jan 19 at the Beckwith Mortuary with the Rev Ralph Barcelo officiating. Eugene Campbell, accompanied by Mrs Alice Mosher, sang In the Garden and The Old Rugged Cross.
Military services were conducted at the graveside by the Tony Asher Post No. 300, Garfield.
Casket bearers were Ross Boman, R N Hven, Earl Bingaman, Olive Foss, John D.
Interment was at the Garfield Cemetery.
