Mrs. Warden Dies Monday at her home
Mrs. Mary Bernice Warden, 79, 633 N. Ninth St., who was associated with her sons in the operation of Guernsey Hardware in Cambridge and Byesville, died unexpectedly about noon Monday (April 15, 1968) at her home.Death was attributed to a heart attack.She was born Feb. 5, 1889 at Kimbolton, the daughter of Joseph T. and Elizabeth Marling Schwyhart, and was a member of the First Methodist Church, Cambridge Garden Club, Business and Professional Women's Club, and the WCTU. She was the widow of John Leonard Warden who died Sept. 5, 1948.Mrs. Warden leaves four sons, Clyde R. Warden (a Cambridge councilman) J. Craig Warden, Cambridge , Dr. Carl E. Warden, Lake Charles, La., and Dr. L. Clair Warden, minister of the King Ave. Methodist Church, Columbus; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. J. L. Yaw, Cambridge; one brother, Ralph Schwyhart, Kimbolton. One brother and one sister are deceased.Friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kenneth F. Evans, officiating.
Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
