Mabel V. Burr, 90, of Lone Tree, died Saturday, Aug. 25 at Lone Tree Health Care Center, following a short illness.
Services, arranged by Sorden's Funeral Home, were held Monday at the United Presbyterian Church in Lone Tree, with Rev. Albert Best officiating. Burial was in Lone Tree Cemetery.
Mrs. Burr was born June 15, 1894, in Muscatine, to John and Emma (Kaiser) Voge. She married George Nelson Burr Dec. 10, 1913 in Lone Tree.
She was a retired telephone operator and member of the past Noble Grand, Hukill Rebekah Lodge and United Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Letha Gray of Lone Tree and three neighbor children. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister and one granddaughter, Doreen Deanna.
Pallbearers were Mike Zaruba, Ivan Halligan, Vernon Menzer, Ben Johnson, Jack Larew and James Larew.
