Services for Charles W. True, one of the prominent men of Olney, and pioneer of Young County were held at the First Christian Church officiated by Rev. T.H. Burton, pastor of the Methodist Church. Charlie True was a real man in every sense of the word. He was a friend in whom you could place every confidence and on whom one could absolutely depend on every stage of the game. He was honest, straightforward, sincere and generous to a fault. Charles W. True was raised to young manhood in and around Graham, Texas. He punched cattle all over the county in his youth. Later in life, he became an expert saddler and harness man and worked for Eddleman Brothers in Graham for a number of years until they established a branch house in Olney where Charlie became the manager. Mr. True bought out the Eddleman Brothers business in Olney and managed the service until his death. He made a success of his business career and leaves his family well provided for financial needs. Charlie True was my friend. C.W. True Saddlery in Olney made saddles, harnesses, repaired buggies, and leather goods. All kinds of repair work were done promptly as well as making old shoes as good as new.
Survived by his wife - Mollie B. True; three small children; three brothers; two sisters.
