Mrs. Treue was brought to the United States by her parents settling first in Minnesota, and later coming to Texas.

At the close of the War, John A. Treue married Caroline Izen at Red Wing, Minnesota. Children born to this union were: William, Walter J., Charlie, Ed, Ida, and Dora.

Mrs. Caroline Treue, resident of Graham, Texas is the wife of J.A. Treue. She is the surviving widow and the children born to this union are: C.W. Treue, Dora Treue, Ida Treue, W.J. Treue, Edward Henry Treue and W.C. Treue, all are over 21 years of age.
