Daniel A. Robinson and Colorado A. Ewell were married 15 January 1865 by Alex Patterson, Justice of the Peace. Of note is that the marriage is recorded twice in the Bourbon County, Kansas Marriage Record Book 1, pages 150 and 157.

Robinson was one of several 3rd Wisconsin Civil War Union boys who took Southern belle brides from the Balltown, Missouri area. Found No Bushwhackers: The 1864 Diary of Sgt. James P. Mallery gives some detail of the Ewell family at that time.

ROBINSON

Mrs. Amazon Colorado Robinson, 91, pioneer Tecumseh resident, died at 11:35 Saturday night at her home in Tecumseh after several weeks' illness.

Mrs. Robinson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Florence Cross, Tecumseh. Funeral Services will be at 4 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence with Cooper's of Tecumseh in charge.
