Mrs. Santa Welch died suddenly at 10:45 o'clock Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Arnold, one mile northeast of Arthur.
Mrs. Welch retired that night in her usual health. About two hours later she aroused the household and asked that a physician be summoned. Ten minutes later she passed away. Heart failure was the cause.
Mrs. Welch is survived by three daughters-Mrs. W. I. Lyons, residing in this township; Mrs. Wm. Weddle of Arthur, and Mrs. F. R. Dixon of Pittsburg, Kans.

BURIED AT BALLTOWN
Funeral services over the remains of Mrs. Santafe Christena (sic) Welch, who died Tuesday night, were held at the Arthur Baptist church at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. S. Bayne. Burial was at Balltown. Deceased was a native of Missouri and was aged 65 years and no days. Her husband, Uncle Jim Welch, died March 28, 1915. Mrs. Welch was a well known and highly esteemed lady of the Arthur neighborhood.
