Mrs. B. A. Smith Sr., widow of the late B. A. Smith Sr., of Gainesville route 4, died Tuesday at the home of her son, W. R. Smith in Cartersville.

Mrs. Smith had lived in Hall County her entire life, and had gone to her son's home for a visit on Sunday.

She was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church for the last half century.

She is survived by four daughters: Mrs. G. F. Stewart, Mrs. B. F. Brown, and Mrs. Olive Harrington, all of Atlanta; Mrs. J. H. Stover, Fairburn; six sons: B. A. Smith Jr., E. B. Smith, Gainesville; M. A. Smith and Russell A. Smith, Gainesville route 4; J. B. Smith, Atlanta, and W. R. Smith, Cartersville.

Two sisters: Mrs. Leila Autrey, Gainesville, and Mrs. J. W. Waddell, Perry; 54 grandchildren; and 69 great-grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held Thursday at 3 p.m., at Oak Grove church. The Rev. L. L. Bennett will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Homer Morris. Interment will be in the church cemetery.

The body will lie in state until the hour of services at the home of a son, Russell A. Smith, Gainesville route 4.

Hubert Vickers Funeral Home is in charge of Arrangements.
