Mrs. Lourah May Magee, 70, died August 25 at the Ruleville Health Care Center in Ruleville. She was born in Eupora but had been a resident of Indianola most of her life. She was a retired hospital worker and was the widow of the late Rev. Charles C. Magee.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Catherine Kocher of Norwalk, Ct.; and Mrs. Patricia Ann Robison of Indianola; one son, Charles C. Magee, Jr., of Den Helder, Holland; one sister, Mrs. Mary Renner of Chandler, Ariz.; two brothers, James E. Embry of Tulsa, Okla. ; and John L. Embry of Corpus Christi, Tx.; and 3 grandchildren.
Mrs. Magee was a member of the First Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at the Card Funeral Home on August 27 at 3 p.m. Interment was in the City Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Bishop officiating and the Rev. Allen Robison and the Rev. Cornell Daughtry assisting.
Pallbearers were Don Leonard, Ed Welch, Jack Holland, Frank Madden, Bobby Kirk, and Bill Robison.
