The death of Henry C. Wheeler, 80, widely known resident of Lewis county, occured Friday night, July 31, at his home on the Boonville Road,
Mr. Wheeler was born in Vienna, Oneida County, July 4, 1856, son of Zenas and Sarah Totten Wheeler. On April 24, 1881 he married Dorothy Brown of Lowell, who died March 22, last.
After residing in Lowell for several years they moved to Rome. Mr. Wheeler had been a resident of the Town of Leyden for 36 years, where he followed the occupation of farming. He attended Talcottville M. E. Church and was a member of the choir. He was also an active member of the Leyden Grange, Talcottville.
Surviving are one son, Grover, and three grandchildren, of Constableville, a sister, Mrs. Alice Tulley of Potter's Corners, and one brother, Albert of West Eaton.
