Annie passed away on Feb.14, 2010.
Annie Margaret Sivek was born on September 9, 1916 in Plum, Texas. She married Bill Copeland on June 5, 1945 in El Paso, Texas. They were married for 58 years. She was a homemaker. Annie never met a stranger and loved to greet people with hugs and kisses. She had a passion for gardening and loved animals. She was a devoted member of her church. She was a current member of St. Stephen's.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; a son, Tommy Copeland; a daughter, Juretta Kennedy; two brothers and four sisters.
Annie is survived by her daughter, Debbie Copeland of Lubbock; a son, Roger Copeland of Dallas and his wife Pat; a sister, Bernice Brooks of Houston; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are requested to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Oaks Nursing Center, VistaCare Hospice and Lubbock Adult Day Care for their love and compassionate care.
Visitation for friends will be at Resthaven Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010.
