was born February 2, 1918 in Palestine, the daughter of the late Maggie and Herbert Poole. Mary and Arthur Andrew Callaway were married September 26, 1936. Mary was preceded in death by her husband; her brothers, Claude, and Willard Poole; and her sisters, Annie Lee Recknor, and Audrey Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Jones; grandchildren, Ronnie Lynn Jones, Jr., and Andrew Jones and his wife, Shanna; great-grandchildren, Darla Jones, and Matthew Jones; sisters, Thelma (Tut) Toole, and June Woolverton. Burial in Palestine City Cemetery, New Addition Section is under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.∼Mary Callaway lived a long life of 92 years. Think of the things she witnessed in her lifetime. So many discoveries, so many interesting people. She lived at the Cartmell Home for the Aged in Palestine, Texas where she died Sunday, February 14, 2010. Services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at Bailey & Foster Chapel with the Rev. Jay Abernathy officiating. Graveside services and burial followed at beautiful Palestine City Cemetery. Be at Peace dear Mary.
