Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie C. Layfield will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Striffler-Hamby Chapel with the Rev. Charles L. Newby officiating. Interment will be in Parkhill Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, T. Jerome Layfield and Thornton W. Layfield, both of Columbus; Five daughters, Mrs. Jessalyn Buckley, Hammonton, N.J., Mrs Lucy Ryan, Mrs. H.L. Pickett, and Mrs. Joseph Glerum, all of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Irene Derden, Columbus; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie C. Smith, Columbus, and Mrs. Carrie Bailey, LaGrange, Ga., and a brother, Charlie F. Cummings, Columbus.
