Mrs. Krueger worked six years as a carrier for The Emporia Gazette before retiring in 1979. She earlier was a cook at Blaylock's Restaurant for 17 years and at the Emporia Country Club for five years.
She was born Nov. 18, 1919, in Emporia, the daughter of Jesse Francis "Frank" and Eva Belle Rector White.
Mrs. Krueger was a member of the former Calvary United Methodist Church in Emporia.
She married Frederick C. Krueger on Aug. 30, 1939, in Cottonwood Falls. He died in October 1977. Mrs. Krueger also was preceded in death by a son and a grandson.
Survivors include three sons, Richard L. Krueger, Arkansas City, John C. Krueger, Whitewright, Texas, and Donald J. Krueger, Strong City; a daughter, Patricia Ann O'Brien, Wichita; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Patio Green of Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia. Burial will be at the Maplewood Cemetery in Emporia.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and sent in care of the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia.
