Jesse F. White Dead.

Jesse Francis White, for many years projectionist at the Strand theater, died Tuesday evening at 10:55 o'clock at his home, 10 Rural. He had been sick two months and 18 days.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue-Funeral chapel. Interment will be in Maplewood cemetery.

Jesse Francis White was born December 25, 1889, in Greenwood county. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse William White. J.F. White came to Emporia in 1890. He married Eva Belle Rector on July 1, 1916, in Emporia. Mr. White had been the projection operator at the Strand theater ever since it opened.

Mr. White is survived by his widow; his parents, two sons, Lewis White and Glenn White; a daughter, Miss Delia Pearl White; a nephew, Donald Leroy Stair; a sister, Mrs. Joseph Schmidt, all of Emporia; and three brothers, Charles White and Albert White, of Berkeley, Calif., and Walter White, of Emporia.

Funeral services for Jesse Francis White, who died Tuesday, were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Roberts-Blue Funeral chapel. Rev. L.A. Arnold, pastor of the Church of God, conducted the services. Mrs. N.P. Freeman and Miss Betty Smith sang, accompanied by Mrs. Glenn A. Blue. Pallbearers were Ray McLain, John Maes, Charles Porter, John Neely, Thomas Nixon and Henry llenberger. Burial was in Maplewood cemetery.

Out-of-town friends and relatives who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Ellis, of Waverly; Mr. and Mrs. Archie Rector and family, Mrs. Margaret Teables and Mrs. Eva Drottle, all of Eureka; Roy Rector of Leavenworth; Mrs. W.S. Oneal, of Hartford; Mr. and Mrs. Melva Ellis and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Parks, of Hilltop; and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Smith and daughter, Blanche, of Neosho Rapids.
