Redden Rackley
( 1817-1885 ) Redden was the son of William Rackley 2nd and Mary Rackley. Mr Redden was also known as brother Red elected Mt. Carmel Baptist Church clerk in november 1845 in Jocassee, SC. He married Elizabeth Betsy Looper Rackley the daughter of Jeremiah Looper Sr and Mary Looper. He was also a founding member and Deacon of Crossroads Baptist Church in Dacusville, SC. He lived on his family farm in Dacusville, SC with many other Rackley family members. In addition Reddin was a constable in the Pendleton District, SC and worked with the Pickens County, SC court house. The Rackley families operated a large grist mill near Dacusville, SC where they would harvest their crops and grind the corn and take to market. Their is a Road that still exist today called the Rackley Mill road where the large grist mill operation was once located near Dacusville,SC. The Rackleys were the first pioneers of the Saluda river area in Pickens County, SC prior 1790, with John Hunt who came by way of Halifax District, NC.

Redden and Elizabeth Betsy Looper Rackley had eight known children.
