Mrs. Ellen Bates, wife of Ephraim Bates and mother of Daniel, J. F. and Wm. died at Guthrie Center, Wednesday and was brought over and buried in the Coon Rapids cemetery yesterday, the funeral services being conducted at the grave by Rev. Mossman. She was in her 73rd year and a member of the M.E. church.
