Funeral services were held Tuesday at the
Hopewell Church near here for Frank Jones, 57,
who died Sunday. He was found hanging from
a rafter in the barn at his home by his wife.
Mr. Jones was born 25 August 1897 in
Miller Co., son of Frank and Alice Cotten
Jones. He married Opal Goodman 7 July 19_8.
Gene Bartram, Morgan Co. coroner said an
inquest would not be necessary....No definite
reasons have been advanced for his
apparent suicide.
The Rev. J. L. Freeman of Versailles officiated
the service.
Besides his wife, he is survived by a son,
Dwight Jones of Barnett, two brothers; Roy
of Woodland Calif, and Lyman of Overland Park, Kan.;
A sister, Nell Jones of Topeka and two grandchildren.
