"Following an illness of several months, Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Andrews died at her home on East Main Street surrunded by her children and loved ones September 9. Her husband died on July 13, 1935 and she has been in failing health since that time, however; she had been seriously ill only a few days. She went to Ozona in February to visit her daughter, Mrs. Bill Chapman. She grew worse and returned home just a week before her death. The remains were laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Junction Cemetery Thursday morning, September 10, the Rev. Ennis B. Hill officiating.
The following were the pall bearers:
Ramsey Randolph, E.M. Burt, Omer Wright, Bennett Kindrick, Sherman McWright, and Ollie Floyd.
Mrs. Andrews was born February 26, 1875 in Bastrop county. She was marreid to W.G. Andrews on December 24, 1893, and to the union, nine children were born. Four children preceded her. She is survived by Bill, Joe, Jake and John of Junction and Mrs. Bill Chapman of Ozona
She united with the Methodist Church when 13 years of age and remained faithful to her church until her death. She was a truly good woman and will be missed by her children, loved ones and friends.
In 1910 she and her husband moved to Junction where he engaged in freighting before the days of good roads and motor trucks. She suffered many of the hardshios of the pioneer days."
