"Andrews Retires From Loeffler's
Jake Andrews was honored on his retirement from Loeffler Motor Company May 27, with a party for all employees. He was presented a gold and silver belt buckle by Victor and Gerald Loeffler, owners of the company with which he has been associated since 1941, with the exception of the years he spent in service during World War ll.
During his years at the local Ford-Mercury dealership, Jake has serviced more automobiles than anyone in Kimble County and seen more changes in the products from Detroit than any other employee of the local company.
Those attending the retirement party included the Loeffler Motor Company employees, wife, Viola, Victor and Gerald Loeffler, and Mrs. Estelle Kirk, who recently retired as bookkeeper. Chocolate cake and coffee were served from a table featuring brown and yellow appointments.
The Andrews have moved to town from Bear Creek, and Jake and Viola plan to take life easy following his long career as a rancher and auto serviceman."
