Miss Jennie Cain, 83, a Town of Russell native and former Kiel resident, died Wednesday at the Divine Savior Nursing Home at Portage where she had been a resident five years. She was born June 2, 1889, a daughter of the late John
and Anna Smith Cain. She attended Kiel High School. Miss Cain was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Portage, its Catholic Women's Club and the Catholic Order of Foresters, Kiel branch.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. John Harkins of Portage, Mrs. Edward Schmidt of Green Bay and Mrs. Valeria Premo of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by a brother. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church, St. Anna, with the Rev. Raymond Conard, pastor, celebrant. Brief rites will be held at the Meizelwitz Funeral Home, Kiel, at
9:30 a.m. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral
home from to 9 p.m. Friday, with a wake service at 8.
