ADRIAN - Annie Ruth "Leslie" Briggs, 76, formerly of Adrian, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, in Temple.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016, in Memorial Park Cemetery in Vega with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega, 110 Main.

Annie was born Feb. 8, 1939, in Amarillo, to William Chafin and Effie Everea “Freeman” Leslie. She graduated from Adrian Independent School District, Texas Tech University and South Texas School of Law.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father; and a son, William Briggs.

Survivors include two sisters, June Wetzel of Florida and Pegi Landrum of Indiana; two sons, Michael Briggs of Plano and Mark Briggs of Temple; two daughters, Brenda Briggs and Beverly Briggs, both of Belton; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
