Mrs. Lydia Kizer died at 5 o'clock Friday afternoon at the family residence, 325 West Cerro Gordo street. Had she
lived another week she would have been eighty-five years old. She was born in Kentucky, but came to Illinois with her parents when she was only one year old. For the last
twenty years she had resided in Decatur. Her hueband died in 1902. Mrs. Kizer had been an invalid for a number of years. Last Monday she suffered a stroke of paralysis and her advanced age made recovery impossible. She is survived by the following eight children: Mrs. J. R. Wortham and
T.J. Kizer of Hammond; W.R. and M.D. Kizer of Dallas, Tex.; J. R. Kizer of Flasher, N. D.; Mrs. W. L. Wortham
of Oklahoma City, and Misses Ella and Clara Kizer of Decatur. For the past twenty years, Mrs. Lydia Kizer as been a member of the First Methodist church in Decatur.
She was a church member all her life. The funeral will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the residence, 325 West Cerro Gordo street. The interment will be in Greenwood. Rev. J.C. Willets will conduct the service.
