Walter C. Myers was the son of James Hans Myers and Anna Ladman. He was born in the Oklahoma Indian Territory near what is now Coffeeville, Kansas. He was married to Cora Evelyn Salmons. After Walter came to Cedar Rapids, Iowa he worked for the Pennick and Ford Starch Works. He died a professing Christian.
