Thayer, Wilma Peacefully passed away on Tues., Aug. 14. She is survived by her loving & loyal husband, Bernard, and her Boston Terrier "Abby". She is also survived by her 5 children, Ron Wertz, Dallas TX, Gary Wertz, Park Rapids, MN, Marilyn Engstrom, Elk River, MN, Shelby Armit, Shakopee, MN and Chris Thayer, Oakdale, MN. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Marny. Wilma loved to read books and to watch Bald Eagles soar over the river in Wabasha. Wilma was loved by all who met her, she was kind hearted and had a very easy- going and soft spoken personality. She will be sorely missed, but will be with us always in spirit. A special thank you to the staff of the Colony of Eden Prairie for their awesome job caring for her and keeping her comfortable. Thank you to Fairview Hospice for their support and expert care. Memorial service Friday, Aug. 17 at 2:00 pm at the Colony of Eden Prairie. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Fairview Hospice Program, or if you prefer, the Wabasha Eagle Center.
