Mrs. Mathias (Margaret) Kometz, 72, 324-26th Ave. N., died Thursday at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with the Rev. Arlie Sowada officiating. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at Daniel Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kometz was born January 10, 1905 in Avon to the late Theodore and Rosina Raden. She married Mathias Kometz October 10, 1924, in Avon. She lived in the St. Cloud area all her married life and was a member of St. Anthony's parish and St. Anthony of Padua Mission Circle.
Survivors include her son, Wilfred, St. Cloud; grandchildren, Gary and Jamie; brothers and sisters, Nicholas and Alois, Avon; John, Minneapolis; Mrs. Joseph (Rose) Klein, Mrs. Sylvester (Eva) Steninger, Mrs. Joseph (Regina) Heinen, St. Cloud; and Mrs. Sylvester (Gertrude) Wetle, Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1965; two grandchildren, Brian and Jodie, and 10 brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Franke, Peter and Paul Ahmann, Harold Schmitt, Kenneth Schreiner and Roman Streit.
Margaret was born January 10, 1905 in Minnesota to parents Theodore Raden (Germany) and Rosina Maehren (MN). Her husband Mathias Kometz had died. She was an employee of Stearns Manufacturing Company. She was a resident of St. Cloud. She died June 30, 1977 in St. Cloud and was buried at the Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud.
