Kvetensky Rites Held Tuesday, Here
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 2, in the Methodist Church, for Mrs. Martha Kvetensky, who was discovered dead after a heart attack in the Valley County Court House, Saturday, Sept. 29.

Reverend Keith Shepherd officiated at the last rites. Mrs. Viola Kellison was organist and accompanied Mrs. Sharon Mason, Soloist, who sang "Just as I Am" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Concluding services were held in the National Cemetery, in charge of the Slavin Lodge 112 ACBJ. The arrangements were made by the Hastings-Pearson Mortuary.

Bearers were John Nevrkla, Anton Novotny, Frank Novak, Frank Zadina Sr., Adolph Pesek Sr., and Lew Bilka.

Martha Janicek Kvetensky was born to Anton and Anna Janicek on February 4, 1901, on a farm southwest of Burwell in Garfield county.

On May 4, 1926 she was married to Ladislav Kvetensky of Clarkson, where they made their home for three years. In 1929 they moved to a farm twelve miles west of Ord, where she lived the remainder of her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, a brother Jim, and one infant daughter.

Left to mourn her passing are her husband, Ladislav; three sons Lad F. of Grand Island; Joe of Omaha; Anton at home; one daughter, Mrs. Martha Fryzek, Ord: four grandchildren. Also her mother, Mrs. Anna Janicek, a sister, Mrs. Anna Bruha, and a brother, frank Janicek, all of Burwell.
