JAMES W. STARTZMAN, prominent resident of Washington County, died at his home, 1908 Virginia Avenue, early Tuesday morning after a brief illness, aged 73 years and 8 months.
He was a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church; also a former dirctor of the First National Bank and a retired farmer.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ida M., one daughter, Mrs. Clyde B. Thomas, Boonsboro; one son, Clarence C., Hagerstown; sister, Mrs. Jacob Eckstine; and five grandchildren.
Services will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church; interment at Rose Hill.
