Frances Lanetta Morgan-Dudley, 90, of Carthage, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Nov. 25, 2010 following an extended illness.

She was born March 5, 1920 in Rush County, the daughter of the late Willie David and Mary Susan (Hiner) Adams. Frances graduated from Manilla High School in 1938 and married Hugh E. Morgan Aug. 27, 1940.

She was a member of Homer Christian Church starting in 1929 and transferred her membership to Center Christian Church in 1948 and was an active member of the Loyal Workers. She had served as a VBS teacher, Sunday School secretary/treasurer, co-founder of the nursery, and also 4-H Jr. Leader. Frances retired from the Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's Home as a nurse after 26 years of service. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, traveling, and sending cards to family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene H. Dudley, whom she married Aug. 31, 1985; six children, David Monroe Morgan of Milford, Linda Sue (Morgan) Weaver of Lebanon, Nancy Kay (Morgan) (husband Bill) Erwin of Knightstown, Beth Elaine (Morgan) (husband Cassil) Andrews of Mays, Mary Louise (Morgan) Brown of Mays and Ellen Frances (Morgan) Scott of Fishers; 21 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and four step great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh E. Morgan in 1982; a granddaughter, Alison Frances Morgan Kline; a great-grandson, Darrick A. Wright; a sister, Irma Giese; and brothers, Lowell and Wayne Adams.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, 2010 at Center Christian Church with Pastor Bill Worrell and Darryl D. Denney officiating.

Burial will follow in Center Christian Cemetery.

Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Center Christian Church.
