Brown & Polly Ann Nickerson... this relationship appeared confirmed in the 1885 Washington State Census for Pacific County. Minerva was listed as age 14 & oldest of three children (younger brothers, George W. & John C.). Her father was age 46. working as an oysterman; her "mother" was age 29...

HOWEVER, additional research showed that on 20 September 1868, Daniel Webster Brown 1st married Amanda Vaughn in San Joaquin County, California; shortly after he was released from his Civil War military service. Unfortunately, Amanda died about 1872 and Daniel 2nd married Polly Ann Nickerson in 1873 to help raise his first child and begin his second family. The two younger brothers listed above were "Minnie's" half-siblings.
Later Federal Census records show that she had two more half-sibling; a sister, Alice & brother, Daniel Webster Jr.
