OBIE DAVID BARNES
Obie David Barnes, 74, a resident of 4214 31st Street, Gulfport, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport.
Services will be held Monday at 3:30 pm at Riemann Funeral Home Chapel in Gulfport. The Rev Robert Wright, pastor of the Northward Baptist Church, Gulfport, assisted by the Rev Hugh Martin, Baptist minister from Greenville, will officiate.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Barnes, a retired longshoreman, was born Dec 4, 1902, in Stone County. He was a Baptist and a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps.
His is survived by his widow, Margaret S. Barnes, Gulfport, and one son, Billy Jack Gartman.
