On August 18, 1950, at the age of 45 yrs., Adah married Lester Swearengin, a recently widowed farmer of nearby Sparta, MO area, and assumed the role of wife and mother for Lester and his six children, .. Adan lived a long and fulfilling life, taking her part in the life of her birth family until her marriage and then assuming the role of full wife and mother until her death in 1996.
