ISAAC NORRIS PASSES AWAY
Mr. Isaac Norris, who had resided in Chariton for over half a century, passed away on Monday evening, March 13, 1911, at eight o'clock, at the age of nearly 76 years, after an extended illness with pneumonia and tributary troubles.
Largely attended funeral services, conducted by Rev. W. G. Hohanshelt, pastor of the M. E. church, were held at the family residence yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, under the auspices of the Masonic order of which he was a member, after which interment took place in the Chariton cemetery.
Isaac E. Norris was born in Clarke county, Indiana, on April 26, 1835. He came to Lucas county in the fall of 1856, and had since resided here.
He was married in 1864 in Indiana to Miss Martha Mitchell, who survives him. To them were born three sons, the two eldest dying in infancy, and William, who resided here with his parents. Mr. Norris is also survived by one sister, Mrs. S. M. Jones, of Lebanon, Kansas, who was present at the funeral. These sorrowing ones will have the sympathy of the community in their grief.
Deceased was an enterprising, honorable and upright man. During his long residence here he formed a large acquaintance and was highly regarded by all for his many sterling traits of character.
